Here is a peek at some of the projects in the works at Browning|Barone.

“War of the Royals” (Working Title)

“Once upon a time, there was a princess….” True, she was a princess. But there is no fairytale happily-ever-after ending to this story. For now, we’re calling it, “War of the Royals”. But you’ll call it wickedly funny and tragically poignant in the telling of this story that the real-life Royals might rather not be told.

“The Shammus”

1969 was a pretty groovy year: A man walked on the moon; a happening called Woodstock happened; 2-million people marched against the Vietnam War; and, a single Jewish mom in Rhode Island invented…”The Shammus”. Based on the true-life remembrances of a young girl in 1969, and the gift only a mother could give.

 “The Garden”

Sanctuaries come in many forms.  But do the walls we build serve to protect or enslave us? This futurist story explores the question as we look at how we face troubled times today and the implications of those choices on tomorrow.

“Mamie”

Mamie is a 6-year-old girl, growing up poor.  When asked in later years about her experiences surviving the Great Depressions her response was, “What Depression?”  This is her story of life, love, survival, and the discovery of beauty and meaningfulness.  It is the story of her first Christmas.
